halo 3 settings wont save?

Ok here is my latest dilemma. Playing halo 3 with friends on system link like we all ways do. Im the host and set up all the variances. Like shields motion sensor stuff like that. No matter what I do the motion sensors dont turn off! I mark them and even save the settings as my nms slayer. but when we play the motion sensors are still there and working! So I played around and noticed it dont save hardly any of my settings. Like gravity setting so we can jump higher. But it does save the weapons if i set it to spawn with sniper or whatever.

I even tried it on my other 360 with the same results. We use to play halo 2 all the time I know im doing it right. Whats going on?
