So i downloaded the latest version of hdd hackr which was 1.4. I got everything going and got into dos and it sees the drive and my computer hdd. I click on 0 because that is where the drive is and it says cannot open or no serial ata present on that number. It recognizes my computer HDD which is a 3.5 inch WD 1TB but not the other one.

Is there a windows gui program that works besides x360usb thing. I can connect it to the computer via a sata to usb enclosure but can not find a program that helps.

The HDD I am using is WD 500BEVT.

If you have a tower/desktop you could in theory use one of the spare molex from the psu connected to a molex to sata and then a sata cable into the mobo.This will give you the power needed and should show up in your bios.As you are using a usb in dos you are not physically using the o/s so you can remove the HDD you are running windows on and just have the Scorpio blue connected to help.This way the drive should show up if your booting your HDDHACKR files from usb.

I finally got it working. I am transferring files from external hdd right now so we will see how that goes.

I just used another computer and it was fine. I dont know why it would not work with mine though.
