I recently had my new Xbox 360 4gb kinect bundle modded
it plays burned games but not all. I burned NBA 2012 and when I put it in
it shows the game NBA 2012 by "my xbox" but then the screen goes black and says disc not supported. What am I doing wrong?

Have you been taking the XBox on Live? If you have, it sounds like something may have happened with the silent .dae update. Also, what custom firmware version did you have put onto your XBox?
Quote: If your 360 has suddenly stopped booting certain backups that previously worked fine, it's probably because your machine has failed an AP2.5 challenge. AP2.5 is the anti-piracy method that MS employ on certain games.
The way it works is that certain challenges are stored in a file on your console called DAE.bin. Your backup has AP2.5 data stored on the disc that's based on the current (at the time of burning) DAE.bin file, but when DAE.bin changes, the AP2.5 data on your backup is then out of date and attempting to boot that game will instantly flag your machine. In the last week or so, MS have been silently updating DAE.bin in the background and enabling/disabling AP2.5 for certain games via title updates, so it's advisable to stay offline until LT+ 3.0 is released, which will have a new method of dealing with AP2.5.

What firmware are you running? The new XGD3 games require LT 2.0 as well as having the latest dashboard installed.

Any one help me with this one?
Around a month or 2 ago I flashed a console with lt2.0 liteon 74850 drive.
I don't think the console has been on line although I can't be 100% sure as it is my sons friends console
He put modern warfare 3 in and it appears that he may have updated the console to the latest dashboard.
I did save the key/dummy/serial etc,but I try to flash with the firmware pack available with the latest lt3.0 fw,and the console goes back to the dashboard.
It shows play game on mw3 but does not load up and goes back to the dashboard.even original games are coming up play dvd or please put xbox game in.
Any ideas anyone or have I overlooked something?
Thanks in advance

It sounds like it's a bad flash if even originals no longer work. As long as you have a backup of the key and as long as the key is good, you can recover from that by reflashing it.
As for backups, if the drive supports AP2.5 and you're using LT+ 3.0, you have to make sure that if you have any of these games that they're properly patched for use with LT+ 3.0: -
http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-152..._lt_3_0-920206/
Games protected by AP2.5 that are patched for earlier versions of LT+ do not work with LT+ 3.0, so you would need to rip the game with ImgBurn, run it through the latest version of abgx360 to patch it, then re-burn it.
But yes, if originals don't work then start by reflashing it and make sure you follow all steps correctly.

Thanks for your response.
I found the answer.
I think they are flagging the drive serial and not just the console.
I know for definate I have the correct key, however with 3.0 or any other firmware it was still doing the same thing.
The reason I suspect the dvd drive being flagged is I used the key on a DIFFERENT DRIVE and spoofed the drive with the correct key.
I worked and the console now plays the latest games.
I then used the lite on drive that was originally in the console and tried it in another console and it worked fine.
It looks to me like they are doing the drive key thing but recording the serial from the flashed drive instead.
Hope this may help someone in similar circumstances.
Thanyou anyway for your assistance

I don't get this one though
I used the liteon drive in another console and it plays the backups but not assassins creed revelations or batman arkham city etc.It must be right what I said in my previous post about microsoft recording the serial of the flagged drive on the console,as that console is now flashed with another drive and the lite on one is one of the drives I am using now.
I have dashboard version 2.0.13599.0 on the console in front of me.
The games come up as disk may be damaged and to clean. That was with hitatchi drive with lt 2.0 on.
I tried with the liteon drive that I took out of the other console and that one comes up as play game but takes me back to the dashboard.
Am I missing something?
This was an issue with the console around 12 months ago when nfs hot pursuit. It would not play on 1 console but would play on another with the same firmware/drive/lamedisk
