hey guys i just recently started backin up my games again and everything has changed. i got my xbox 360 already installed with an xecuter chip but im not sure wich version it is bc i got it around like 4 or 5 years ago. i backed up and iso with imgburn and when it was completed i put it in my xbox. the box said PLAY GAME and not DVD(like it does when its burned wrong) so i hit A to start the game and it goes to a black screen like the game is booting but after a few seconds im brought back to the xbox 360 dashbored!!!! what am i doing wrong? do i mabey need to update my chip software or something? did i burn the disc wrong what? btw im using verbatim 2.4x dual layer dvd+r 8.5gb AZO please help me thank you!!!! ps i can send pics of my chip if it will help identify it to make things easier.
M$ has implemented new checks, and made their discs slightly larger than a DVD +R DL. In order to rip(read the game to your HDD) the game properly, you have to flash a 360 drive (benq or liteon) with the new v3 ripping firmware. In order to burn properly, you need a IHAS liteon flashed with burnermax firmware in order to write the extra data. Before you burn, run your iso through abgx to make sure the topology data is current and correct. A lot has changed in the "scene" since you've been gone.
Most people just flash their drives nowadays. Some people buy an XK3Y (optical drive emulation). I don't know anyone that uses the older style modchips that have had any success with the new dashboard. If you're not using this for LIVE, just flash your DVD drive with the latest LT firmware, and you should be set. If you're not sure how to do this, google jungleflasher.pdf. That should put you on the right track. Good luck!

thank you yeah i think i have to flash my drive since i dnt care about live i got a ps3 for online lol again thanks ill try this and get back to you and yeah i ran it through abgx it say that its fine
