I´ve been having issues with XDG3 games lately, I used to burn them without a problem, I had MW3, Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3, etc... but after a while something went wrong and my xbox wont read them anymore.
When I put the games on my xbox it just says "Play Game" but the screen goes black when i select it and then it goes back to the home screen this happens to the new games I burn in XDG3, I have my console flashed to LT 3.0 and it reads XDG2 without a problem. I have tried with ImgBurn 2.5.5.0 and 2.5.6.0 and none of them work. The DVDs i use are VerbatimDVD+R DL. And I always use abgx360 on my ISOs before burning. I have read in some forums that the laser may be defective but I dont know if this affects only XDG3 and not XDG2.
It is important to mention that this issue affects also the previous XDG3 games I had but in a different way. The games starts but while I´m playing it a message pops up saying the disc cannot be read and it goes back to the hom screen.

do you get all green when your run it through abgx?
run them through again before you burn!
a weak laser could cause problems on xgd3 games because it has to find a lot more information to function, if you are sure everything has been newly checked with abgx then you may need laser work!
I do followed the same steps, I have tried differemt ways o burn them, with and without BURNMAX, with and without patching them and they also fail.
Whn I patch them, I run them 2 or 3 times to make sure I get all green as peluynati says, so Im uessing the laser may be weak, Do you think I eed to replace the whole drive? or should I just replace the laser?
laser would be all you need, you may clean it and try to tweak the pot settings to see if that helps, the dvd side should be on something around 5.4, the cd side should be around 1 if that does not help then replace the laser.
I tried to clean the laser and tweaked the pot settings but my xbox still wont read them, I will get a new laser but I dont know if I should get a new drive instead, my xbox has a LiteOn DG-12D2S and I found some of them online.
What do you guys recommend? I dont know which one is more difficult so I would really appreciate some advice.
Which drive are you using to burn the games? I used to use the truncate option in imgBurn with LT 2.0 and started getting the disk unreadable message in LT 3.0 so I had to burn those games again with iHAS drive flashed with Burner Max firmware and they started working fine.
