Hitachi Drive Won't Eject on XBox but does on PC

Hi everyone today I bought a 'broken' 360 on Craigslist for $20 and I got it all working except the drive won't open up or spin. I thought maybe that flashing it might fix it, so I flashed it (successfully). When I sent it into Mode B I just manually ejected the drive with a paper clip and when I powered it back on the drive closed itself and the laser flashed and moved. What I don't understand is how Jungleflasher managed to close it and make the drive work but it doesn't work on the XBox. I opened the drive up (which is how I know the laser worked during the flash) and when I put in a game it doesn't spin, the dashboard recognizes the tray is closed and I press open tray and it doesn't move, so I put a game in the closed tray and it said "reading" and then after a few minutes it went back to "open tray". So for some reason the XBox isn't opening the drive or reading the discs in the drive. I could live with it if it just wouldn't open but I need it to read discs.

I hope someone can help me figure this out!

check your cables, sounds like one of those might be bad!

I just tried all the different cables I have and it still won't open. I put it in another XBox and it wouldn't open. (I know the other XBox isn't broken so it should of worked). I just don't understand why the computer was able to get it to work but the XBox can't. It's frustrating knowing the drive works how it should through the computer but not the XBox.

sounds like its stuck in mode-b, i would go through the steps of getting it out of that mode!
