How to connect to HTC Desire?

Hi

I am trying to connect my htc desire via the usb cable to my xbox to allow me to play either music, videos or pictures, my phone tells me i have a connection and i select to use it as a hard drive but the xbox doesn't see it, in all areas the portable device area remains blank

Any ideas anyone?

isn't mounting it the same as what i am doing when i select it as a hard drive as opposed to sync or charge?

Check the usb at the top. Just like you connect it to your computer so you can access your phone from your pc to get pictures. You may need to turn on usb debugging too.
