IE play mpeg2ts files

It doesn't seem that IE will play mpeg2ts video files as best that I can tell. I'm using the html5 player in a webpage navigated to via IE within xbox360. The html5 player seems to be backed by the netshow player NSPlayer/11.08.0005.0000 according to the user-agent.

Anyone have a different experience or is there a plugin for mpeg 2 ts files that I can get onto an x-box?
