Img Burn ejects and closes back after layer 1 burn?

I saw a guy on youtube using img burn to burn his backup. After the program wrote 100% the first time for the first layer. It ejected and closed the tray again and started back to do the second layer. If I am using a laptop, do I just close the tray manually after it ejects the first time? Or will it mess up if I do that?

all it is doing when the disc ejects and loads,is verifying that the disc burned properly.at the top of img burn just uncheck verify

Yeah, it's burning both layers, then verifying the burn against the data on the hard drive. Verify is checked by default because it's a good idea to do it. It's not like an extra 10 minutes makes any real difference to you, and if the burn is bad (even with Verbs and a good burner, you may get the occasional dodgy disc that fails) you won't waste your time wondering why it's not working on your 360.
