I was trying to burn an abgx verified image of Gears of War but I got errors in IMGBURN during the verification process at 50% (verify errors that one usually gets whilst verifying XGD3 games). Here is the IMGBURN log:

PS: The media I use may not be good enough for XGD3 games but it's definitely been working fine for all the XGD2 games I've ever burnt.
I tried inserting the above disc into my Xbox and the main menu of the game comes up fine and I can start playing the first mission fine. Is the verify error irrelevant? Will it reflect upon gameplay later rather than sooner?

LIGHTNING UK! recommends Verbatim DVD+R DL only.

Means that your burner can't read the disk that it just burned (have you checked for a firmware update - Tools > Drive > Check for firmware updates).

As I sad, I've used the same media for burning XGD2 games but without any errors. Perhaps it's my laptop DVD drive that is causing this problem. I'll use my PC writer from now on. Thanks for your help.

man if you only have one coaster with memorex you are doing wonderful, i've had more coasters with verbatim, although that was from shipping, i wouldn't worry to much about it, if it plays im sure you are ok, it could freeze at some point in the game, but would be no different that a scratch!

They're Verbatims made in India, not Memorex.

That's a Moser Baer ID;not the code I expect to see on a Verbatim DL+R.
I'm going to be looking for that.

The Verbatims in India are made by Moser Baer.
Btw I'm sure that the error is due to the laptop dvd drives which are not generally good for burning. These errors would not be encountered if I had used the PC dvd writer.
