know this is going to sound dumb again but I?m prepared to go through the pain barrier.

I?ve now received my ISHA124-B and am ready to install, and flash with burner max etc. I?ve got a DELL XPS420 and there?s a bay for anew internal DVD Drive. I?m pretty sure I?m using IDE and have AHSC disabled etc so that shouldn?t be a problem.

If I install would I have to use the spare molex to power up and if so would that leave me short of a power connection when using x360usb pro etc?

depends on your computer but thats the problem i have .i just plug it in when im gonna burn a backup

With those two issues alone, you'd be better off simply buying a $20 drive enclosure to go the USB route.

Think I figured it out. PC has second sata power cable in addition to molex which I can use and just connect sata to one of the remaining onboard sata ports.

It's all predicated on two things:

1. Being able to unlock the Hit 79 when I get my usbpro
2. Hoping that I don't get errors when flashing the drive with max fw

What's this drive enclosure all about anyway?
