Since my other thread is desolate, perhaps from the wall of a text, I will reiterate just one of the questions here in this thread:
My Mod shop is going to give me my Xbox 360's DVD Key, the thing is, I want to verify its actually mine, so, how do I go about verifying it without jumping the gun and erasing my Xbox 360's DVD Drive ?
What makes me think I could re-check that the DVD key is mine, was when I started to read Page 148 on Jftut1.4.4.pdf
Couldn't I chuck the dummy.bin into the key database, and see if Jungle flasher correctly identifies it as the proper key to my connected DVD drive? OR is that only possible if I had flashed my Xbox 360 on the same computer?
Also on page 152 on Jftut1.4.4.pdf, I saw you can right-click and 'verify key'. Or is that also have no relevance to my situation ?
It's just those pages on the tutorial kind of made me think, "can I verify my key ?"
- No, I don't have the probe, otherwise I would have dumped the key myself!
Unless you dumped the key originally, you can't verify it. The JF database is stored in the Windows registry, so obviously it only stores keys that were dumped on that individual computer.
Unless you can get some written guarantee from the shop that it's definitely your key, I would get a probe and dump the key yourself. It's up to you though, but if they give you the wrong key and you erase your drive, you're screwed.

I always wondered that.
funksoulb, you are smarter than you look. But then again, I don't know what you look like :)
