i think if you can get an xkey installed for 120 you should go that route, if you are needing people to do the work for you, you are not going to be able to maintain the RGH, there will be updates and RGH will be a work in progress, if you have to send it to someone every time that happens you will be spending 4 or 5 times the amount that you stated!
The question you should be asking is not which one to get but what is the capability of either, then decide what if anything else you'd like to do.The cost of updating is irrelevant more so if you have a phat since the xkey if the thread is anything to go by can only read certain keys anyway, once the jobs done on either mod it should cost less than a 1/4 of what you originally paid to update the dash,i'd be miffed it was more than $30nz on a rgh,to be honest my vote would be instant i'd go rgh since i have a jtag & faced the same issue you do right now, only diff i bought my jtag as a whole package new what sold me on it was it could do more, personally i believe you already know which route your going to take so stop dilly dallying & just do it
edit: you don't need to update more than twice a year i only do it once per year, the games i've backed up that can't play if any can wait till dash is redone i have enough to keep me going
xk3y: If you got nothing nice to say about something don't say anything at all...
RGH: Plays backups, plays emulators, plays DLC, plays other homebrew and in your case is even cheaper.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
i would go the RGH way... in your case its cheaper... you don't really need to update dash default.xex can be patched to run on lower dash plus most of the games today run on 14k dash RGH... RGH is also region free and it will also run backups from dvd... it also gives you the dvd key just run xell and connect to the ip it shows you using any browser you like and it will show it to you... so in other words RGH FTW! :3 and another thing 8gb iso file is always bigger than extracted or GOD (^__^)
