I want to replace a faulty lite on 83850 and seem to remember that I can flash the firmware to a 74850 or any other lite on fat drive.
Can someone confirm I'm not going mad please.

if you have the dvd keys then you can flash any working dvd drive, and put it in the xbox, just remember to use LT2.0 now to boot xgd3 games. :)
