LiteOn won't respond after erase

Hi,

I have my drive's key from previous flashes. yesterday i was flashing it and i got to end where it verifies the write and i got failed verification. the drive wont respond now and it wont eject. jungleflasher isn't picking it up now either so cant try reflashing.
this ever happen to anyone?

Usually means you're not using a via chipset. Resend the erase regardless if it shows up or not. It doesn't show up because the FW is erased.

i tried that but when i'm asked to power off and on the drive, it doesnt return to status 72 and introvendor fails :(

you didn't answer the question. Are you using a 6421 via chipset? If not buy one or a lizard

do i def need one even though drive was being detected yesterday on motherboard

Yes. Just because the board can see it, doesn't mean it can write/read from it properly. The cards are $10 and the lizard is a larger investment but it's handy for flashing all the time. I would simply just buy an xkey and be done. No more flashing drives with the xkey.
