hi guys iv flashed many benq and hitachi drives but im new with the liteons iv got a liteon 7 series that i sent away to get flashed cuz i didnt wanna buy the probe kit and switchi wanna reflash it to lt2.0 but not 100% how.i dont have the dummy bins just the written down key for the drive.so my question is can i just flash it like a benq or hitachi without any other hardware ie just pulling the power cord wen i need to power of the drive and back on also would i just write the key number in source target and put the lt2.0 in the target then press spoof.any helpm would be apreciated
Sounds like you've solved your own problem. Put the old key in manually and load LT+ 2.0 in the target. Hit your Lite-0n erase (after you have disabled the via 6421a card if that's what you're using for sata to drive connection.). If not, just hit lite-0n erase and follow the quick prompts after you have your key typed in manually. There's no need to spoof since you're using your original brand DVD drive. It may warn you that there is no source firmware. No need to worry, because you're putting the newest CFW on it as well as your dvdkey. If you do everything right, you should be back to playing backups. Good Luck!
ok scrap that its a 93450c drive problems im having hooked it to computer using via sata card clicked target sources as the new lt2.0 and clicked manual spoofing put my dvd key in but im not sure what to pick as osig,also trying to dump the dummy file but it wont says something about half open tray,i done that but still saying its not half open,can someone do a detailed tut on what i need to do to reflash this drive using xbox as power.thanks
Which Dash are you on (12625 or 13146 or 13599) ?
I hope you have the Drive Key with you. If you have the origional firmware which shows Drive Key in JF then you can easily flash LiteOn 93450c drive without any kit. Assuming that you are on latest Dash 13599 which causes issues with spoofed drives for certain games viz. Ap2.5 it is recommanded that you stick to the same drive brand which came with the xBox.Check the JF tutorial for Liteon Drive as well although I can summarize what you need to do if you are not too much bothered about playing on Live this is the approach you can take :
-> Connect xbox Dvd to PC using Sata cable and Power it using xbox or Kit.
-> Open JF 1.83 or above (use JF 1.87 preferably or newer) and load the origional Firmware in Source Firmware under Firmware Tool 32.
-> Select the correct Sata Port , Provide Power to the DVD and try to Refresh.
-> Drive may get recognized.
-> Turn of Power to the DVD ( Turn off xbox or use Kit to Turn it off)
-> Load LT 2.0 in Target Firmware for Liteon 0251c (I know you have 93450c but still). Click Spoof Source to Target (DVD Key Gets Copied).
-> Click on LiteOn Erase. Click on Yes Btn. Another Msgbox comes .Click on Yes Agn.
-> Turn on power to DVD Drive (Turn on xbox or use kit to power it On).
-> Drive may show Flash chip Properties and will go in Vendor mode.
-> Click on Write and once done click on Outro.
-> It may agn show the msg "Drive is LiteOn".
Any Dash Update that you want to perform later should be done via USB.

Preparation:
Get the updates 13146 and 13599.
Get the JungleFlasher v0.1.88 Beta (280) , LT+2.0 fw and stock fw.
Connect drive and run JF.
Step 1: Flash back to stock
1. Click 'OPEN SOURCE FIRMWARE' and select my DUMMY.bin which was extracted from last time.
2. Click 'OPEN TARGET FIRMWARE' and select the correct stock fw file from the PRE_13141 firmware folder. (Note: JF will tell which fw to select , just check above you dvd key. For example: DVD Key@A030, means you should take orig-74850C-1a000.bin fw file, DVD Key@B030, means you should take orig-74850C-1b000.bin fw file, and so on)
3. Click 'SPOOF SOURCE TO TARGET'
4. Go to MTK Flash 32 tab.
5. Click Lite-on Erase and power cycle the drive when the 2nd line of code shows up in the LOG at the bottom. Drive should now be in Vendor Mode.
6. Click Write and by the end you should have flashed your Liteon back to Stock.
7. Put your box together and update dashboard to 13146 and 13599 turn by turn.
Step 2: Flash from Stock to LT+2.0
1. Reconnect your drive to your computer and reopen JF.
2. Click 'OPEN SOURCE FIRMWARE' and select the same DUMMY.bin you did in STEP 1.
3. Click 'OPEN TARGET FIRMWARE' and this time select 'LTPlus-025-v2.0.bin'
4. Click 'SPOOF SOURCE TO TARGET'

It would be easier if you just read the Jungleflasher tutorial. Google Jungleflasher.pdf, or simply visit their site to download the tutorial. It's easier if you read and understand the procedure. Since it's a lite-on drive, you'll probably either need to buy the probe 3, or the maximus lizard. If you have problems with JF, you could read through the posts that cover 99.9% of your questions or problems. The lite-on is the most difficult drive to flash in my opinion. You usually need extra hardware to extract the dvdkey from the DVD drive. JF tutorial explains all of this. If you run into a snag and can't find the solution on here (AfterDawn Forums), post back to this thread and someone will have an answer for you. If you're a software programmer, then you should have little to no problems. You might want to wait to flash your drive. They're coming out with LT 3, which defeats the DAE table, as well as AP2.5 protective measures. It's probably going to take a few Months for the new firmware to release. If you've connected to live on or after Nov. 17th, then your DAE is already changed. Your only safe choice would be to wait for the new firmware. Lots of peeps getting flagged, failing AP2.5 challenges. Good Luck.

Well is there any other way to temper the DVD/CD disc to run GOW3. In my xbox which runs the Black Ops,Army of 2 (2), RD redemption,POP as latest, i am using a bootdisc while before inserting game disc. Please tell me some ways by which i could know some of minor detail of my xbox....
Like what DVD its has . what firmware version it has . Its KEY ? etc etc

I have a similar question. Recently I had my liteon flashed to lt+ 2.0, (I want to go to 3.0), the guy gave me the dummy.bin. I have flashed many benq drives, so I think I could flash my liteon, but how do I use the dummy.bin in jungleflasher to get the dvd key without a ck3, probe, extractor?
