Hey whats up ppl. I have been searching around and couldn't find an answer for this...

I got an
- lt 3.0 xbox
- dashboard 2.0.14699.0.
- couple modded game saves using modio
- I've tried to use XVal to see if my console's been flagged and its coming out as an error rather than saying "sec data not clean".

Anyways, I want to see if I can create a silver live account without immediately being banned. I plan to go on live only when downloading dlc and arcade games and such. My xbox is not banned and I have never been on live yet. Although there's always a risk when using backups, I'm wondering if I can just sign up without having to flashing back to stock then re-flashing to lt 3.0.

Also, if I become friends with someone who's not modded or anything are they at risk of being banned?

Any help is appreciated and thanks for reading that long post :D

You can never be 100% safe when you connect a modded console to Live, but then if you avoid connecting it cos you're scared of getting banned, you've effectively banned yourself anyway.

Friends are not at risk of being banned unless they break the terms of service themselves, so there's nothing to worry about there.

Follow these steps and you should be fine for now.
1) Stealth your backups properly with the latest abgx
2) Update your drive fw when a new version comes out
3) Dont immediately do a dashboard update until its been given the green light by c4eva
4) Try not to use truncated backups when your xbox 360 is connected to live
5) Stop using modded saves and mod tools such as Modio and Horizon and stuff like that as it increases the chances of a profile ban

Yeah, I've been using that same logic as "technically banning myself" for a while now which led my to post this thread :P

By drive fw do you mean updating the custom fw when a new dashboard comes out?
Also, I can't really stop using modded saves, but does it make difference if I just don't go online for that one game?

Also one last thing, that silent update "dae.bin" problem from last year shouldn't be a problem with lt 3.0, right?

Like when there's a new CFW for your drive for example LT3.0 immediately update your drive to the new FW without any delay.

The silent dae.bin problem isnt a problem through the topology data created by c4eva and his team for all XGD3/AP2.5 capable games.

You dont need to reflash to stock everytime theres a dashboard update just update the dashboard through the usb method and your should be fine

Oh hey I did some more looking around and apparently there's a new dashboard 2.0.15572. So if I update my 14699 to this one using live (not usb) without reverting back to stock will it mess up my backups? I also truncate cuz i don't have an ihas burner.

it wont affect your console or your backups in anyway unless you have RGH/JTAG console so update it
