Hey guys, will you be re-ripping and re-burning all AP2.5 games following on from the supposed release of LT 3.0 today? what are your thoughts on re-ripping and re-burning XGD3 games too?

Before the silent DAE.bin updates started going out I was using the truncated burn method, but since then I've gone ahead and bought the Liteon iHas drive required for 100% burns of XGD3 disks. Are you all now burning again as a precaution?

As always, thanks to all those who respond with useful information. :)

I thought it it was made clear that the games would need to be reburned and it wasn't an option.

We're gonna have to re-burn. but there's no point in re-burning till they fix abgx to read xgd3 games.

So until abgx 1.0.6 we can't play xgd3 safely online but ap 2.5 games like black ops can be reburned with old abgx right?

That's what I was thinking. I believe this is what the situation is, I could be wrong though.

While abgx360 v1.0.6 remains in progress, the new version of Xbox Backup Creator can be used temporarily as an alternative for injecting the necessary new AP25 topology data files into existing backup ISOs. XBC doesn’t perform the same degree of validation of topology data files, and provides no means to verify their authenticity or correctness, so be very cautious if using files from unknown sources until abgx360 is released. In addition to extracting/injecting AP25 topology data files, the new XBC also works with the existing 0800 v3.0 ripping firmware to dump backup ISOs that include proper topology data from original game discs. At the time of writing, it has yet to be definitively determined whether the new XBC will be released alongside LT v3.0, or if it will be released later. The new abgx360 is still under heavy development, and will release in due time.

You can patch XGD3 games with new XBC until abgx 1.0.6 comes out.

i'm not going to bother anymore, x3key ftw. no discs needed and leave drive stock. they also seem to have good support for MS updates.

Once I get some more funds I don't think I'm going to bother either x3key seems to be doing pretty well haven't heard any negatives things about it.

On a similar note, has anyone with the AP2.5 failed flag from the silent dae.bin update actually got banned yet? seems odd to me that they've gone to the effort of flagging loads of people and not done a mass ban-wave? maybe MS is waiting for everyone to come back online with LT 3.0?

There is no need to wait for abgx. Just get the universal patch from c4eva. All games now boot on LT 3.0

For any game protected by AP2.5 you must either re-rip (originals) or patch (backups), and re-burn.

DAE.bin is now irrelevant.

MS can add AP2.5 to older games, but if they're either ripped using the latest XBC or patched using existing topology data, you'll be fine. It's unlikely that they will add it to older games, but you never know. DAE.bin could still be silently updated at any time to add AP2.5 to older games, which could lead to your console being flagged if those games weren't already patched with topology data.

Patching for all games apart from 3 or 4 can be done right now if you follow THIS guide for THIS list of games. No need to wait for the new abgx360.

As for an AP2.5 flag leading to a ban, the reason why it hasn't is because AP2.5 has not been 100% successful in only flagging up modded consoles. It has also lead to some unmodded consoles being flagged too.
