@peluynati, i read in the install instructions that the little board goes on the outside of the 360, and is connected by a ribbon cable. supposedly, with the flashing software that comes with the new pcb, the tiny board provides a usb-mini/usb connection to a pc, so you(or anyone else) wouldn't have to open their slim again. i'm still kinda skeptical, but i may just give it a try.

@Modking30, thought about it, the slim i have i got from someone who mangled his, cost me only $50, i really don't use it. still have my 2009 jasper that's treating me well. if that one dies on me, then i'll think about either the matrix board, or the xk3y. right now, just don't wanna spend more for the xk3y then i paid for the system, know what i mean?

actually since you don't have to buy discs with the xk3y it's an investment that eventually pays for itself

@Modking30; last question, is the xk3y live safe, or still the same rool of the dice as with burned discs?

it's as safe as any other modding. There is always a risk on discs as well. There is no 100% fault proof modding method. I have been using live with the xkey with no issues currently.
