hi, iv tried to flash my xbox to stock liteon so i can update to lt2.0, i did this with the key i thought was correct, and it flashed ect and then just says play dvd and wouldnt update to the dash 13599, so i flashed itwith a different key and it went on fine updated the dash but still says play dvd? is this the symptoms of wrong dvd key?
If no games will play - not even originals - and it just says "Play DVD" then it's the symptom of either a missing key or the wrong key.
How did you manage to flash it with "a different key"? I know it might be too late now, but you should never erase your drive until you're 100% certain that the key you've dumped is good, otherwise you can end up turning your 360 into a DVD player. Hopefully you have a backup of the correct key, then you can fix it.

i have a few keys on my pc, and iv been updating a few xboxs at the same time! bad news, would the dash update worked if the key was incorrect tho? i got it to update dash once i flashed with a different key i had on my pc. but still says play dvd!
Yeah, the console will still boot as normal even if the key is wrong and all functions will work apart from playing disc-based games which will just show as DVDs.
If you haven't tried an original game yet, try one, cos if that works then the key is good and it must be another issue. If not even originals will work, you're going to have to go through the keys on your PC and find which is the correct one.

iv been trying originals, iv found a new key i didnt try, i flashed it to the drive and now it just says open tray after a few attempts of loading, i dont know if this is the original liteon drive that came in the console or if i need to spoof it to something else, is there a way to find out?
