I still have my "old" xbox, it's still the first version of it. Im using a 250gb HD from my xbox elite (bought that one later). So i asked somebody to mod my xbox, i don't know how he did it, i just paid him, but it worked.
So i only play offline games on that machine and buy online games like halo, gears, ect...
But i recently wanted to download some new games (resident evil, war in the north). But they don't work. It's not giving me any error, it just starts, black screen, back to dashboard. I don't wanna waste anymore DVD's on trying, because i think it's because i haven't updated my xbox yet.
So i recently had my xbox online, i don't know why i did it, but i updated it via the internet. I found alot of tutorials on the internet that said you had to update via usb. So, is it still possible for me to update my xbox (i want to do it myself this time). I have NO clue what version im on, or whatever. The only thing i know is that he modded it 3 years ago... so my xbox hasn't been on the internet for like 3 years (till a few days ago)...
btw, i also tried playing older games (darksiders/saw2) and they still work, so i didn't f*ck anything up with updating it via the internet.
If somebody could tell me if this is still possible via a "normal" tutorial and not some special tutorial (because it's such an old firmware).
I'm not a total noob in modding, that why i want to do it myself this time. Used to mod psp's :)
Just open the Xbox 360 up (check youtube for a guide how to open it), check what drive you have, get the latest firmware for it on www.ixtreme.net, get the key and flash it with JungleFlasher from jungleflasher.net.
On the Jungleflasher website in the download section there is a good guide on how to flash the drive.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
