im assuming this drive is bricked. It won't eject and jf doesnt recognize it and it wont go into vendor mode even if i open the tray buy spinning the little black cog and hitting intro or sammy unlock. What can i do? Keep in mind i do not have a probe, ck3 or x360usb. Any help is appreciated.

are you sure you didnt plug the drive in upside down? thats what it sounds like. if you have ever flashed the drive before you should have the key?

i do have the key. Im pretty sure it didnt plug it in upside down. Ive flashed this drive many times b4. From stock all the way to LT 1.0. After jf write failed i cant get it to show up again. Im gna try dosflash16 later today. I hope it works.

if you flashed the drive before you will have the key, if you open jungle flasher 1st tab open key database it will show the key for every drive you have flashed, with that at least if worst comes to worst you should be able to retrieve it.

another thing i have found on those if you put it back in the xbox and eject it and let it go back in sometimes that will get it to out of vendor, sometimes sammys and hitachi's can cause a lot of headache.

ok. After about 20 minutes of figuring dosflash16 out i have the drive up and running again. I made a bootable pendrive with extreme boot maker, then copied dosflash16 and my firmware to the root of the drive. Booted from the flash drive, ran dosflash and instead of power cycling the drive during vendor intro i unplugged the power cable from the back of the dvd drive itself and quickly replaced it. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the help.
