1) If you're trying to play one of the newest releases backup video game, you need to make sure that you have the latest LT+ firmware. If you don't the latest FW you might be able to play older games but not the newest releases, or
2) If you are 100% sure that you have the latest LT+ fw flashed in your dvd drive, then more likely your DVD drive is about to die. In this case, you will have to buy a new replacement drive of the exact same model as your old one, then, you must extract the key from the old dvd drive and flashed into the new one

I'm already on my 5th DVD and I still get the same message.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
i've had the same problem on 2 differnt liteon drives, one flashed and one unflashed; it has nothing to do with the firmware. i've been racking my brain for a week trying to figure out the problem and finally realized it's the calibration of the dvd laser track and the diameter of the disc tray.
After taking the dvd drive apart i found that the laser resets itslef to the front of the unit (near the spindle) everytime you eject with a disc present. When you eject the tray without a disc present the laser moves in reverse until it gets locked at the end of it's track. it takes about 5 to 6 ejects without a disc present before the laser gets locked at the end of the unit. When it gets locked at the end it's actually outside the diameter of the disc not allowing it to spin.
Here's how to fix it:
On the bottom of most motherboards are pieces of material that look like a sticky sponge. one side is sticky while the opposite side is smooth. cut this material into 6/16 inch x 4/16 inch and than place this on the inside of the worm arm motor (closest side to the laser, the worm arm is on the right side of the unit). This sponge will prevent the laser from getting locked at the end of the unit and always allow the laser to be within the diameter of the disc.
I've tested mine 20 times to be sure and havent had a problem. Hope it helps.
