Hi Ok I have a Falcon with 7371 FW , I just installed the Nand X to find out my CB version.
So this guide is the most popular
link
So far I have soldered in the Nand X wires and installed the USB nand drivers on my Windows 7 laptop
Quote: Follow these steps to read your nand (Based on 16MB NAND) :
Plug your 360, but don't power it on.
Install NAND-X drivers and connect hook it up from Xbox to USB
Go to the nandpro20d folder and type :
nandpro usb: -r16 orig.bin
Ok So I got this far , I have the Nandpro20d Folder on my desktop, how and on what do I type -r16 orig.bin ??
I opened the Nandpro20d folder in CMD , I typed --r16 orig.bin , the dos just says 'bad command or filename'
I tried running the Nandpro application in the Nandpro20d folder , which just opens then immediately closes for whatever reason
The guide is not clear enough for the average Joe public , I havent yet worked it out , spent several hours using other guides with other programs such as Collshrimp's Jtag tool
I havent yet installed the Jtag , just the nand . Apparently I am supposed to check the CB version right ?
Any help guys ?

Bump , Ok now I got past this step , I figured it out , now I have my two Nand dumps , I have compared them in Hex editor , they are 100% Identical
Next Step I have stumbled on : Quote: Grab Degraded 1.1b from Xbins. You can also use 360 Flash tool to verify CB.
Run Degraded and click settings, enter key you found using google "Degraded 1BL key" should pop right up.
ok So I got degraded 1.1b , clicked settings , now I am supposed to enter a Key I " found using google " What key , I haven't got any key . Any Ideas ?

Ok Guys I am back
Im following this tutorial link, to the best of my ability and am stumbling . Now I have dumped my nand , compared and checked my CB version which is 5761 , which is expoitable . So I have since soldered up my J-Tag Quick solder PCBs , so off to the next step right ?
So the next step is Flashing XBR to your nand apparently?
Anyways Quote: Grab the latest XBR_8955 matching your motherboard from Xbins ( XBOX 360/development/XBReboot/ )
I couldn't initially find the XBR 8995 Falcon bin on the Xbins website . I googled and found one on media fire
1.Quote: Go to your nandpro20d folder
nandpro orig.bin: -r16 rawkv.bin 1 1
So in English , I open CMD go to the nandprod folder within CMD, then type -r16 rawkv.bin 1 1 right?
2. Quote: nandpro orig.bin: -r16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2
Again in english , type nandpro orig.bin: -r16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2 , thats what I did
3. Quote: Now that you have extracted your keyvault and config blocks from your orig.bin, inject them in the xbr_8955.bin of your motherboard version :
So I presume they're talking about the step in the next paragraph
4. Quote: Rename the xbr_8955.bin of your board to xbr.bin to simplify things.
Ok Done that simples
5.Quote: nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 rawkv.bin 1 1
Type nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 rawkv.bin 1 1 within CMD , ok done that
6.Quote: nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2
Again within CMD type nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2 , done
7 Quote: Now that you've injected your keyvault and config into xbr.bin all you need to do is flash it back to your nand.
nandpro usb: -w16 xbr.bin
So in english just type nandpro usb: -w16 xbr.bin right?
8.Once done , unplug nand-x usb cable from pc.
Leave the console unplugged, and powered off for 30 seconds in order to clear the SMC from memory.
Turn on xbox and enjoy XBR (To boot to Xell power on with your eject button)
I got this far, as the above, then booted up the Xbox , by pressing the eject button, Firstly Xell came up , then tried again . Now I am just getting the one light of death code E79 /1033
The instructions are not very clear , I am struggling with this J-Tagging, am I missing something ?

Ok switched the Jtag over to 330 ohms , now it seems to boot Zell when holding Eject button , though still get rrod when trying to boot normally .
Now I will re-flash Nand and start over
Could it be a flash problem , or is it my soldering?

Right I finally , managed to understand the Collshrimp J-tag tool , I dumped seveal nands ( no bad blocks ) compared they matched and were confirmed Exploitable using the Degrader tool
So then I Flashed the Nand and installed Free Boot Xell and Xellous ( as the tutorial recomended )
So as mentioned I installed the Jtag , I soldered it in with the quick solder boards , then soldered the diodes down to the illustrated points .
So now in theory my Jtag should have been done , it did work initially though after second boot I frequently got RROD error 1023 , then later my DVD drive died
Question is , what did I do wrong ?
Console is now bricked
