I was thinking of purchasing a x360 key however I have been out of the modding scene for 3 years or so. I have read you need your drive key aswell as another key. I have my drive key and a old iprep flashdrive with my ofw.bin so my question is will I be good to go having that? I ask because I no longer have any of the materials to read my drive. Thanks for any help.
The xk3y cannot currently dump the keys. If you have the ORIG dump you should be fine. There a manual HEREat pothsprojects.com you should read over. That tells you what you need to do depending on which drive you have. Usually you create a dummy.bin from JF and then rename it to firmware.bin and put it on the SD card. The best part is, once the FW is in place on the SD card, you'll never need to open the xbox again. All updates are done with a flash drive.
No, this is the only key you need, period. I would advise to invest in the wifi dongle as well for booting games with a custom menu. It's sweet!!

Your drive remains stock. The key needs to be read from it to put on the xk3y. That's how the xk3y works. Like ModKing30 has said, you never have to open your 360 again.
No, that is why the Xk3y is the best damn thing yet, even over a jtag in my opinion. Most people who jtag don't even run unsigned code and just want to boot games off an external and you can't even go on live with a jtag like the xk3y.
Plus the wireless dongle and custom web page for games is sweet. Worth every penny. The best thing is, they don't rely on iextreme FW to boot games when they change so the updates come much faster than c4eva can. I was booting xgd3 games 3 months before LT 3.0 even released. Xk3y liteally had a patch days later.
Thanks for the help DavGerm4 and Modking I will be ordering the key and the dongle and a Lizard because I did a dump on my drive before the May/March Update.
