yeah i'm glad they finally said something, i dont mind waiting on this stuff but i wish they would offer a little information more often, good to hear that progress is being made and we may get something before too much longer.

No one would have had to wait with hitachi's if they changed the drive's out and loaded their original keys.. i have had friends i hooked up that way playing ever since the new updates... I have a liteon that's down.. but i keep the ol' sammy running strong

LOL. That's what you think. You're probably running an older dash, but eventually you'll be forced to update both the dash and drive.

as it goes they are both running 146990 now lt 2.0b. one's 4 years old, been used almost every day and never missed a beat :)so its not what I think its fact!

wish i could say that about all the hitachi's i replaced and they are a pain in the ass to flash compared to benq or sammy..

Just thought that id say i have two xbox 360's one is from august 2007 and the other is a phat black elite console both with benq drives and both running the brand new 146990 dashboards both running lt 2.0 never had any problems playing anything except for on my elite console i got the dae.bin updated problem but i just get the title updates and havent had any problems what so ever. and just so you know, people on here say you have to have the flash drive plugged in with the title updates at all times and thats not true at all. just go to settings, storage, and click on the flash drive that have the title updates on(formatted to xbox) if you see the pictures of the game on the title update just copy or move them to the xbox hdd and then you wont need the flash drive anymore it will access the ones on the hdd and play just fine i did it and batman arkham city and battlefield 3 and modern warfare 3 and nfs the run and nba 2k12 work amazing that way no problems. also does anyone know where to get the updated title update for assassins creed brotherhood from? everyone ive tried hasnt worked.

Your wrong. 2.0 is new which is why you are booting games. You will be forced to update at some point. 2.0 is not even 4 weeks old. Where are you getting 4 years? Hitachis still suck.

umm i think he was refering to his xbox being 4yrs old not the lt2.0 firmware.

Thank you xbox360fan05. Forced to update to what? Its updated to the latest firmware and dash as it is??? I realise lt2.0b is only 4 weeks old, my xbox has been running on various firmware updates without any problems for 4 years. I was just saying I don't see why i'd need to update to lt3.0 when the hitachis don't even have ap2.5 checks and run fine on live on lt 2.0b. I thought I made that quite clear in what I said???
And as to your quote about xkey near the beginning of the thread, that doesn't look so good either, reading through the forums on here http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-152...-15_min-919148/
Anyway this is off topic now, I like hitachis and you don't. Enough said..

Maybe you should read my post about the xkey a little more out of the thousands of xkeys made this problem affected 30 people so it is a rare problem in the post it says affects 1 in 500
