hi, just got myself a xbox for a 5er lol
only problem is it wont show no picture or sound, it all boots up green as normal, but not a flicker or noise in the tv??
iv tried pressing the hana chip down and overheating it to see if that would work, iv also tried a new av cable and still no go, it a non hdmi version tried it on composite aswll and i got mode not supported on my tv??
anybody have a clue whats going on here??

Heat Guns are under-rated. If you have an older unit (Xenon), I'd recommend 12v modding the console to help prevent it from getting too hot again. Also, if you didn't do so, I would take the crappy thermal tape off of the CPU & especially the GPU and apply Arctic Silver 5.
it is a old unit as it dont even have the extra radiator part, i didnt even put new thermal paste on as too be honest i didnt think it would even work lol, il get a better heatsink, arctic silver and maybe 12v it but i didnt want it to be too loud!
the old ones you really have no real choice my has the 12v mod and it sounds like a little jet engine, but mine has had no problems for over a year. after i did the heat gun trick and the 12v mod.. just keep the xbox flat, don't stand it up on its side

lol il take the advice given m8, after my little lads finished his bedtime session onit, been running for 4 1/2 hours straight upto now :) just wont play 360 games but does play old xbox games? mad, swap drives tnite and all should be good! :)
