Hey guys, i just bought a flashed 360. The person i bought it from told me it was banned from Xbox Live. I have been reading around and ive heard from to many sources that there is not way to Un-Ban yourself. However, i got into the system settings just to check it out for sure myself, because who knows maby it isnt. And when i do a Xbox Live Connection test, it tells me i need to update. Is this a good thing? Is it possible im not banned? If i hit the update button will it tell me it cant update because it can't connect in the first place? Or is it impossible for a banned system to even get to that official update screen?
Also, my 2nd and more important question - how do i update the flashed dash? Currently under System Into it reads -
I called him about it asking which version of "LT+" it is, and he told it me was "LT+1.9". There are a few games i want to play, that research shows it needs "LT+2.0". How do i update this?? Thats my biggest question. Also, will the offical Dashboard Updates erase the flashed dashboard? What will happen if i do an official update? Will i no longer be able to play burnt games?
Last and finally, ive been trying to research if i can run ISO's off of a portable harddrive that is formatted to FAT 32. Ive seen alot of people saying you can with Jtagg, but can i do it with the LT+?
Thanks for any responses. Pretty new to all of this stuff.
If the xbox is banned then you may fail the update or run into a loop,if updating then its best to use a flash drive with the update. As your on 1.9 firmware if you update it will flash your console back to stock firmware so it will need reflashing.Pending on what drive you have in the console it could be 2.0/2.1 or version 3.0.You can use a windows program called xval to check the console against a flag.Easy to find and use. This will tell you if the sec data is clean or not.If clean then you are lucky. Also bear in mind that some consoles are just flagged for a ban are not completly cut off from using live services.I would sugest you let your friend reflash it to stock for you, update the console and flash to the relevant firmware.Your last question is asking about a hard drive. If your on lt firmware then no.You would have to buy a ihas B dvd burner flashed with burnermax firmware to create a full iso or backup of your game. You could go down the xkey route where all your iso backups are on a hard drive connected to the xkey,it just depends on what your are prepared to spend. But before any or that check your consoles status with xval as the investment may not be justified if your console cannot update or be used online.Let me know the status..
First of all, LT+ is not a dashboard, it's the drive firmware. You are on official dashboard. Also your dashboard version is high enough so it doesn't flash your drive back to official if you update.
For updating, just google for jungleflasher, they have a really nice PDF tutorial on their website in the download section.
For playing games off a harddrive you either need a RGH (just google Reset Glitch Hack) or an XK3Y (or xkey). If you don't bother about going on Xbox live or if the console really is banned, get the RGH installed by some mod shop you trust, it allows you to boot custom dashboards, that gives you some more options than the xkey, for example you can play DLC or some emulators. I don't even know if you can go on xbox live with an XKEY, last thing I know was they were working on that.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Could you please check out your stuff before giving bullshit advice? Thanks. Getting flashed back to stock doesn't depend on the drive firmware but on the dashboard version. Any drive firmware no matter how high would get flashed back to stock if you were on a dashboard pre 13141, and his console already is on 13146.
I don't even know where this "cannot update" thing comes from. Just update using a flash memory stick or a cd with the update you can download from www.xbox.com, and then try signing into Xbox live. If it works, congratulations, flash to LT 2.0 if on a hitachi or samsung drive or 3.0 if on benq or liteon (or get it flashed).
Also the op stated he bought the box, doesn't mean he bought it from a friend.
