So i have 2 xboxes. One is working great but i keep getting this error and the other was working fine until it got the rrod. I figured it was the laser that was causing the error, so i took the laser out of the one that was rrod and i put it in the one that works. I am still getting the error, can anyone help me here? Here is a video of what the xbox is doing.

If it really shows this "To play this disk, put it in an Xbox 360" message, then my bet is on a key missmatch.
An unrecognized disk due to a dead laser either looks like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSHdo1kL5ps
Or the Xbox doesn't even recognize there is a disk at all.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Well i got one of my backups to play, but that only happened one time so i dont think it is a key mismatch. I am either getting a mixed media disc or the play this disc put it in an xbox 360. Plus, It was working for a while with the new laser in it, until the box was updated on 11/26. Now I am getting the error. I am positive it is not the wrong key as it was working fine before
Here is a more accurate video of what is happening.

it must be the worm. Is there any way i could put my toshiba samsung drive, that i know works for sure, in this xbox if I have both keys? I know it wont be live safe, but im okay with that.

You can see the laser move, that means it gets power and the motor and all components are ok. I personally think it's the laser, you exchanged a dead one with an almost dying one. Liteon Lasers are pretty much crap, so far I had three that died.
Either buy a really new laser or a RROD console with a working drive.
For the Samsung drive, you could try manually writing the key to it.

Okay i have an extra brand new laser that I will try. If that doesnt work, would i just plug the hitachi drive in to read the key through jungle flasher and write that key to the samsung drive?

it most likely will not work, the first time you update it will most likely get e68, if it was a benq drive it would work. try the laser and report back!

I have switched out the laser and no luck. The minute the laser moves to the outside of the disc to start reading it, the laser phases out, just like the older laser. Should I adjust the pot meter? i have done this before with another xbox. If so, what setting would you recommend around 3.0k?

i have gotten my hands on a few new xboxes, one had a hitachi 79 drive in it so i was able to switch out the bored with my hitachi 59 and my xbox is now working. I am curious as to why you said that the benq would work but not the samsung...?

Because peluynati (and I actually too, don't ask why) thought you had a LiteOn drive. LiteOns and BenQs are quite alike, they even share the same laser.
