I saw somewhere that the xkey is now in stock at some resellers.
Just wondering if anyone here has one and what's the opinion on it.

I was thinking about it. I am getting sick of this burning BS and they seem to stay up to date with the FW. I heard even if they patch the dash for the x360key, it can still be loaded from the panel that comes with it.

So far I like it. I love not burning discs anymore and that alone makes it worth it. The menu screen on the thing is really small tho. I'm getting older and my eye sight isn't what it once was so that is a drawback. It doesn't work with any old usb hard drive either. Make sure you have one that powers itself. For phat units it doesn't install the greatest either. It was designed for the slim consoles from what I can tell. I know it sounds like I'm bashing it but I do really like it. Just pointing out some not so positive things. I'm using a 2 TB Hard Drive and it is so cool to just select a game from the menu and Bam! you are playing. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars only because it would be nice if it were a larger screen!!!

There is a 'revision' that instead of a usb cable going out the 360, it uses a thin cable which should be easier to route out. The dash loading is nice as well.
Once my friend gets his order and I can check it out, I'll be sure to get one for xmas. Just need a enclosure for my hard drives.

I appreciate the insight. You've answered some of the questions I've been wondering about.
My last two questions now are:
1: Have you been on Xbox Live with it yet? If so, how is it? Does it feel "normal"?
2: How do you get the key? Will it get it once connected to the drive or is it still done with Jungle Flasher?

1. I know people have been on live and no issues have been reported that I seen. I would say its the same risk as CFW. I know there is a big debate blah blah but screw the nerds.
2. You still have to get the key using jungle flasher then you copy the file to a mirco sd card thats included. That goes in the circuit board and thats it.

c4eva said that these devices are not Live safe and he has nothing to gain from lying about it considering he gives all of his work away for free. The makers of the Wasabi 360 also posted words to that effect on their site. It's far too early to tell if these things are Live safe or not, but - and no offence - but I would take c4eva's words over yours as I don't know what qualifies you to say "I would say its the same risk as CFW". You're only guessing there based on the fact that people aren't instantly banned when using them, but you don't know if they've been flagged server side or not.
I like them though and will get one at some point, even if it's just for offline-only play. Not having to burn discs - and especially not having to keep reburning discs when the DAE table is updated - is the most attractive thing about these devices, cos it's more convenient and will save you money in the long term.

This tool is for users that don't care about live or want to take the chance as it's working for now.

My #1 reply was just from what I seen. I don't care about live so I'm not triple checking all the facts. Eh, as I said, there is a debate blah blah and I don't care as I don't do live on backups.
Now, if some one can get me early copy of Skyrim, I promise to not get on live. :D

Question: Will the X360key allow for game Add-ons to be installed (not talking about ones downloaded through Xbox Live)? This would be a huge plus right, as only JTAG consoles could do this before?

What do you mean by game add-ons if you don't mean ones download from Xbox Live? If you mean pirated content, then no. If you mean title updates, then yes, although you don't need a JTAG for that.
