as the title says, paying for it to get fitted, i bought the console banned so it hasnt been on line for at least 18 month. do i need to update my dash to the most recent or is it fine how it is? also seen has it aint been on line for a while do i need the dae file for my dash? i,m thinking the hdd set up is root>games>all my game folders(or do they get pulled out and left as the iso?) and the dae file (if needed) many thanks. ps its already modded but don't know what with, doesnt play ap25 and had to patch to wave 3 to get old games running. cheers again

You should format the drive to EXT 3 for best performance. You need the CFG file and a games folder with all your isos in it. Then just update FW to 1.12. There is xkey forums or pothsprojects for support for these.

the drive is where i have all my old games saved on which is ntfs format and to format that drive will be painstakingly slow as id have to copy a game and then delete on to a smaller drive one by one. i thought ntfs was the xkeys desired format? can you give me your hdd layout please

moving my games about and then format to ext 3 then move them back. gonna take a while but hey ho if it needs to be done. cheers for links
