I hate flashing my firmware every 6 months, I'm getting as good as Forrest Gump at disassembling a rifle with my xbox... I don't have the money for the xk3y yet, so was looking to patch games back to LT 2.0, it's something I've never had luck with on any of the firmwares I've had.
I'm following the Injection guide with the XGD3 topology file, and I still get "unrecognized disc" everyday with Knights of Amalour.
I've seen people claiming they do this and "good is my friend" but can't find any other method other than the XBC and topology injection, which doesn't seem to be working for me. I was also told to run through ABGX, which I did, also without luck, but didn't have any errors through ABGX.
If you're "as good as Forrest Gump" then why do you want to patch back to LT+ 2.0?
All of the tools available for patching games are based on patching them for 3.0. When you run a game through abgx360 it's patching it for use with 3.0. The simple answer is to just update your 360 to 3.0.
If you're using 2.0, then the method for answering the AP2.5 challenges is different. It's based on the DAE table and that is now unique to each Xbox, which is why c4eva had to use this "magic bullet" technique of using topology data for LT+ 3.0. Without that, the only way to patch games would be to dump the DAE.bin file from your own machine (easier said than done) and then patch games based on that, so a game patched for your console wouldn't work on mine etc.
So yeah, if you're gonna stick with games on disc than LT+ 3.0 is the only way to go.

That all makes complete sense. I just get tired of the teardown and flashing constantly. My computer has moved past the point of ease for installing the sata card as well and thye entire process has become taxing.
Looks like ill be saving for xk3y, thanks, your reply was perfect.
