Question about AP25 checks

I've been wondering about AP25 checks now that all future releases will have them.
Live or the dashboard does a set of AP25 challenges.
With a new dashboard update, it can look for a new set of challenges (which is why the ISO needs to be re-scanned and re-burned.
This has happened I think 3 times so far with the first six AP25 games (HR CoDBO CoDMW2 ACB NFSHP & F3). That's 3 different sets of challenges.
If you have a retail copy of the game, you will always pass the challenges, meaning all of the challenges are on the retail disc.
If all of the challenges are on the retail disc, why can't they all be copied to the DVD+R DL? Why only one set at a time?
I didn't worry about it nor di I care when there were only 6 AP25 titles, but now there will be LOTS & LOTS of re-burning.

The AP2.5 checks are based on angles and there are 360 of those. There are 13 checks involved, so 13 different angles. That gives you 360 ^ 13 combinations and the checks are game specific. Therefore, you need to know what the checks are in advance, because otherwise you would have to store all possible combinations and still answer the challenges in the required amount of time to mimic a retail disc and that's not currently possible.
It's a bit like having a few million keys on a giant keyring and me saying "find the one that unlocks this door, and if you don't do it in a certain amount of time you fail", compared to me giving you the key you need and if the lock changes, I give you the new key. The DAE table is the equivalent of telling you the key you need, rather than trying to lug about a giant keyring with millions of keys on it.
That may not be the best analogy, lol, but it sort of works.
But yeah, there's going to be a LOT of reburning going on and for those that don't rip their own games, they're going to have no way to repatch the games either unless a new version of abgx360 comes out before November when the new dash is rolled out.

So I'm under the impression that XGD3 games like Gears 3 have AP25.
How would you patch or re-patch the AP25 of an XGD3 rip of the game since there is no ABGX solution at the moment.
I'm wondering because say there is no new ABGX by the time the new dah hits, how will Gears3, Warhammer, etc be patched?
What file/s and what program/s?

Yeah, all XGD3 titles have AP2.5.
The latest 0800 ripping firmware uses the dae.bin file from the current dashboard so that the correct AP2.5 data is ripped, so if the DAE table is updated in the next dashboard update you would have to obtain the latest dae.bin file and re-rip your original.
Until abgx360 is updated to support XGD3 ISOs - or unless someone else makes a different piece of software to do it - re-ripping your original is the only way to do it.
So ultimately that means that if abgx360 is not updated within the next 4 weeks, a lot of people are going to be playing offline to avoid updating to the new dashboard as they'll have no way to patch their games! lol.

Yeah, you're sorted man. It's the AP2.5 stuff that's pushing me towards buying an xk3y or similar product.

RIGHT: So let me get this clear guys.............. Sorry for asking!!!
Any game as from the last month or so that have AP2.5 checks (includng new XGD3 titles) cannot be patched or stealthed correctly at present.
The safest option would be to wait until the new version of AGBX is released?
I have been handed lots of old copied games. If you run the disc through AGBX and it comes up as stealth passed would these be safe to play online at present?
Thanks

This isn't true.
If you rip your own originals, you can rip the required data to make them patched/stealthed correctly. Also, as long as a game isn't XGD3 - and some games are still coming out in the older XGD2 format - then you can patch games with abgx360. The current version of abgx360 doesn't support XGD3 ISOs though.

This is true, because you can't know if an XGD3 ISO has been patched correctly unless you've ripped it yourself.

If you get all green in abgx360, then you're about as safe as you can be playing on Xbox Live with custom firmware.

If you get all green in abgx360, then you're about as safe as you can be playing on Xbox Live with custom firmware. this isn't fully true, if you check the game that is on the disk with anything other than a 0800 flashed drive, you can only read the SS 1 value not the SS V2 angle. some games, if they don't have theat value, you can be banned if on live.

An 0800 drive can give SSV1 too depending on the firmware version.
The difference between Kreon and 0800 is that Kreon uses preset angles, while 0800 actually reads them.
With SSV1 the angles are stored once (either Kreon or 0800), while with SSV2 the angles are stored twice (0800 only).
It would only ever be an issue if a game came out that had angles that were drastically different from the preset ones used by a Kreon drive, which AFAIK hasn't happened.
