I thought I had read originally a few months back that the new dashboards/new disc format would make ALL prior released games ap2.5 thus needing to reburn entire library. Is this true so far or just an unknown fear? I know the 6 ap 2.5 games need repatched/burned.Just trying to decide if I should have two separate consoles/hdds, one with LT 2.0 for all new dash/xgd games and another with a separate hdd for older games cause I'm not reburning entire library. 6 ap games fine but not all. I'm sure we dont really know yet but wanted to get some feedback from those that know

It was speculated about, but it didn't happen. MS can add AP2.5 to older titles, which they did with Modern Warfare 2 for instance, but there are only 6 XGD2 games that use AP2.5.
That changes with XGD3 though, as every XGD3 game released so far uses AP2.5, so I would guess that it'll be a feature of every game going forward. Unless c4eva (or someone else in the scene) can find another way to tackle AP2.5, it could be a huge pain in the ass every time there's a dashboard update as you would theoretically have to repatch and reburn any of the 6 XGD2 games that were released, but also any XGD3 game too and there are already 9 of them out that use AP2.5 and XGD3 hasn't been around for long.
Jeez, so..
1. Is there a chance that future dashboards could make all prior games ap 2.5 or do we know for sure this isn't the case?
2. Could future dashboards require new fw or is LT 2.0 good for awhile? In other words should I update to LT 2.0 now or wait till that nov dash comes out?
3. How is everyone going to handle this as far as building their library? If games are unplayable cause of ap 2.5 changing w every dash is burning discs even worth it or is cool runner/glitch hack going to be the way to go??
1. Yes there is a chance, but I doubt they'll do it. They'll probably focus on protecting all releases going forward instead. As all XGD3 games released so far have AP2.5 (even the Halo: Reach XGD3 disc they sent out months ago) then I think it's a fair assumption that all XGD3 games will have it, which at some point will mean all new games.
2. A new dashboard can bring new security which can require new firmware.
3. If you're using custom firmware and burning games to discs, the only way to handle it if MS update the AP2.5 table in a dashboard update is to do one of the following: -
a) Wait for a new dae.bin to be released so you can re-rip your XGD3 games using the 0800 V3 method.
b) Wait for abgx360 (assuming it will one day support XGD3 games) to provide the patches and repatch/reburn that way.
c) Hope that someone discovers a better method to deal with AP2.5 via custom firmware that doesn't require you to repatch/reburn discs!
I think I'm hoping for the last option otherwise this is going to become tiresome. What about the coolrunner glitch/hack which I heard will be similar to the ps3 cfw method of being able to play games directly off hdd?
I don't know too much about the other methods, but with something like the Wasabi360 you just have to copy a file containing the AP2.5 data that corresponds to your dashboard version to the drive containing your ISOs, so if the AP2.5 data changes in a dashboard update, you would just need to copy over a new file containing the latest data - no ISO patching and obviously no reburning (cos you're not burning in the first place!).
Methods like that will become more popular as time goes on, because I don't think many people realise that every XGD3 game is protected by AP2.5 and that could potentially mean that they have to reburn quite a lot of discs when a new dashboard update is released.
