question about jtaging

I have a halo 3 limited edition xbox 360 (zephyr). I was going to jtag it unil i found out that its dash had been updated to 8955. I just wanted to know if there is an alternative hack i can do on it. I have found online a reset glitch hack (free60.org) , but havent found a full tutorial yet. Is it possible to to RGH my xbox or am i just wasting my time and should just sell it and find an older xbox and hope it has the old dash.

Are you sure it can't be jtag'd,i seem to recall some v8 dashes can be,perhaps link below may help in that dept unless one of the other crew round here sees your post
well modking swears by the xkey & from what i've read on it yeah i'm going to get one since dash version is irrelevant & best of all console pretty much remains stock,the tuts for the rgh are in link below also basicly anything you want to know is there.

thanks for the link. As for jtaging, everything i found for jtagging was from about 2 years ago and they all say that dash 8955 doesnt allow jtagging. But the new RGH can be done on all kernels. I need to find out where i can buy all the parts for the RGH. couldnt find a part number listing for the RGH

thanks. i jtagged a xenon, and now need to find out how i can play games off my own hd. I want to use an old WD 2.5" ide drive, i have a ide to usb converter. So far all i know is i have to convert my games using iso2god, and need my hd in fat32. whats a good program to format it as i can only format it to exfat from windows.

thanks. i got it formatted, but it doesnt show up on my xbox. right now the dash is jtag XBReboot 3 8955. Im guessing i need to update it? if so, how can i do it since it doesn not pick up any usb, or hd.
