I just want to confirm that if I flash my xbox to stock and update the dashboard with the recent dashboard update and then reflash LT2.0 I will be safe to play on xbox live.

As safe as you can be with custom firmware, yeah.

Just make sure that if you have any of the 6 older AP2.5 games (Black Ops etc.) that you repatch and reburn them using abgx360, cos if you don't then you'll flag your console the first time you try and boot one of them. The only exception to that is if you have a drive that doesn't even support AP2.5 (Samsung or older Hitachi).
