With the new LT and ABGX out, is this guide still updated and ok to use for burning?

Yep, the guide is still good mate, although if you don't want to have issues on Live, I would recommend only using a Burner Max burner to burn your games, rather than truncating them.

Also, the recommended burn settings in that thread are still recommended by c4e AFAIK, but the settings I'm using now are the ones recommended by Lightning UK, the author of ImgBurn: -

Clear OPC History with EEPROM Utility - Only needs to be done once
Smart Burn - Enabled
Force Hyper Tuning - Enabled
Over Speed Writing - Disabled
Online Hyper Tuning - Disabled
OPC - Disabled
Burn speed - 4X

If you have issues with the recommended settings in the other thread, try these instead.
