are there any mod chips with a switch to turn them on or off so I can go on live with my real copies and offline with my backups. I need to run backup cds not isos off an ext HD

You could get an X Drive and keep your internal drive stock and the external modded with cfw and you can switch between the 2. The X Drive doesnt come with a drive, though, you have to get a seperate 1.

yeah you aint kidding, the thing isnt cheap either. i guess the other benefit of it is that you dont ever have to crack open your xbox again to update cfw.
