Slim/Low-Profile Via Card?

I have a low profile PC and I need a Via card to flash my Benq. I'm not going to shell out $50 for a x360usb so don't bother posting that. I am looking for suggestions for low profile Via cards under 15$. I also was wondering if I could buy a regular size Via 6421 card and if they have low profile brackets I can install on it to fit in my machine.

Could i also just remove the bracket from the via 6421 and let the pci slot hold it in?

have you tried your on board sata? you may not need a via card!
