Softmodded Xbox hard drive upgrade issue HELP!

I know this is the xbox 360 section but i couldn't find original xbox section but i hope someone could help Okay so I'm having a issue I recently softmodded my original xbox and also done a hard drive upgrade to a WD 250GB 3.5 IDE
After I done that I booted up and it said I have 120gb free like always when you do a soft mod/hard drive upgrade so I boot up xbox partitioner and select the highest amount of space which is 239GB okay so it formats and create partition I reboot and it now says I have 154 GB free wheres the rest of my space ?? I would really appreciate any help Thanks ! :)
