flashed Liteon 74850C with lt 3.0. plays dvds and original games. when put backups says Unrecognized Disc 03-80-00. backups work on other 2 xboxs fine. tested disk for quality everything is in specs. flash is fine details in bottom from jf log. used both memorex and verbatim. the only thing i can think off is that laser is getting old and needs to be replaced, but not 100% sure on that.

also got magnet problem with drive, drive wont open unless i mess with metal thing on top of drive. any solution ?

agreed. The 7xxx series were known for crap lasers. The only other thing it could be is if the laser is stuck in the back position. Open the drive and look where the drive laser is sitting. They were also known for this as well. If that's a case, you just need to put a spacer on the rail. Usually eject issues are belt related. Due to wear. You can boil the belt in warm water and then dry it out to shrink it.

yea it suck about laser. the thing with drive problem. i already did rubber thing it works. drive opens when it doesnt have cover on it. it magnet problem
