Hi, im a bit of a noob, but I read a few tutorial on how to flash lite-on DVD-roms.
My Xbox was flashed when new by somebody who knew what they were doing,
but now I decided, that I would like to upgrade the IX to LT 2.0.
My question is how do I proceed?
I tutorials I read that U need to flash with originl firmware befor update,
do I use the firmware included in the Ixtreme pack?
Does the DVD-key chage after update, or can I first read DVD-Key, then flash to stock,
the update and then use the DVD-Key obtained before update, to flash new IX LT?
You only need to flash back to stock first if you also need to update the dashboard. If you're on the current dashboard version already, you can just update to LT+ 2.0. If you're not on the current dashboard, flash back to stock, update the dashboard, then flash to LT+ 2.0. You can use the stock firmware from the firmware pack you downloaded, but obviously you'll need to dump your key first.
The key is always the same, so once you've dumped it and you're sure the key is good (dump it a couple of times and make sure it's the same both times before you erase the drive) you don't need to dump it again.

Yes I have to update the Dashboard, but thans for the DVD-Key anwser, it clarified alot.
So I can use the stock firmware and flsh before update just like flashing Ix LT
or is the procedure different in any way?

2. Flash back to stock firmware 3. Update the dashboard to the latest
4. Flash to LT+ 2.0
5. Make sure any AP2.5 games you have are fully patched and up to date

Sorry for another noob question.
Will Jungle Flasher find the DVD-Key or do I still need to probe?
I assumed that because it had alredy been flashed before,
all the other stuff has been done (like the cutting of PCB).
So everything can be done trough Jungle Flasher.
I am unable to preform Dummy from ixtreme
It says failed, power drive with tray half open.
I do that, but the console always says opening.
I did half open as descibed in the tutorial.
I just dont know wich firmware is on it,
it was flashed in march 2010 coudl it be LT.
