Hi,

I'm being prompted with this message when I start Silent Hill Downpour:

"An update must be applied to your console to play this game. If you decline this update, you wont able to play this game."

It doesn't mention if it's a game update or a system update and I haven't been able to find anything specifically related to this game when searching. Some posts I found that reference other games state that it will say "System Update", while others say it won't.

This box is not connected to Xbox Live and is currently on dash 2.012625.0 with LT+1.1. (Just looked at my old JF log...For some reason I thought I was at LT+2.0)

Ultimately, I guess I should update to LT+3.0, but I didn't want to update now if I wasn't required to in case a newer version is released again. I've been playing fine (No XGD3) until this update prompt; however, Silent Hill isn't XGD3 either so I was hoping it's just a game update.

If I do need to go to 3.0, is there a specific procedure I should follow? Some of the stuff I read said to flash back to stock, then apply all updates, then flash to 3.0.
- Do I just download the latest update onto USB and install or do I have to install each one from oldest to newest?

Although I wasn't able to find any, are there sites that list what updates are applied with specific games?

Seeing that this box isn't connected to Xbox Live I highly doubt it's a game update.

you are on dash 2.012625.0 with LT+1.1 so it is most likely that is the update to the newer dash version so be careful with this one. The update to 2.0.13146.0 flashes your drive back to stock firmware.

System Software Changes
Reflashes the DVD drives to support XGD3 Media : PLDS DG-16D4S, PBDS VAD6038 and PLDS DG-16D2S, to a new stock firmware : 0272, 04421C, 02510C. Also patches Samsung MS25 & MS28.
Anti-Piracy 2.5 scheme updated.
Support for the new XGD3 disc format for games, adds 1GB of usable disk space and extra anti-piracy features to new games.
Adds a new 1 hour Auto-Off setting in addition to the 6 hour Auto-Off setting previously available.
