would it be prudent to wait for the next FW update rather than pay for an upgrade from 1.61 to LT? My guy says it should be released soon. Is that true? If so any ideas on how soon? Thx.

woulnt bother waiting personally, I would recommend learning to do it yourself save having to pay someone else each time.
