I opened up my xbox 360 adapter (not the slim obviously), they use those little antenna pigtails, and you can definitely go buy one at radio shack/ebay no doubt that has the pigtails with male connectors allowing for the typical WRT45G antenna types(2.4ghz) to be screwed on..then just take out the old pigtails and antenna from the xbox 360 wireless adapter and put in the new pigtails and screw on antenna.
The particular adapter I have has two antenna on it, rather than the newer looking 'single' antenna adapters for x360's. So I could attach two.
My problem though, or more specifically my worry.... would be that it can't support such a much larger antenna...like if the wifi device itself would not have the capability to even transmit enough power into it and if the signal would just not make it out and get absorbed into the antenna?....or if it would need more power going to the wifi device... My lack of knowledge on this stuff is very obvious, any help is immensely appreciated, just gotta know if this will be a waste or if it would work..or if it doesn't work, maybe a less strong antenna, that still surpasses the default wifi devices capabilities.
