Is RGH hack for Xbox360 better than PS3 CFW hack, just want to know about features, and please fanboys, don't answer me. Someone who has used both is appreciated.

I use to own a RGH System, and I loved it. Because you could get Homebrew games, emulators, that sort of thing. If you get the DemoN installed you can have one system with a regular dashboard on it, and an RGH on it.
PS3 CFW I had when it first was developing, and I only had errors with it, probably because my external HDD was corrupted.
They both basically do the same thing, so it just comes down to whether you want the RGH or CFW. Also, it's harder to get CFW PS3's these days, because you need one that has a firmware of atleast 3.55, so then you can update to the latest FW 4.30 as CFW.
They do have an ODE (Optical Drive Emulator) coming out for the PS3, that's basically the same as the Xk3y for Xbox 360. You just can't do homebrew on it.

Ya they basically have the same features. Both RGH and CFW can play games from Hard Drive, play homebrew, and emulators.

while they both fit to run unsigned code ps3 is limited to what it can run based on set of keys having a 4.3x CFW system will only get you as far as long they don't change they key set... while JTAG/RGH can run code w/o being dependent on the version of the kernel.. RGH is hardware depended so if something happens to the glitch chip the unit will not boot... ps3 is software depended so if by mistake you update your ps3 you lose CFW.... so its more of 50/50 on what you like really... when it comes to what kind of hack on what system... same goes 50/50 so pick what you like :3

Yea, but that is going to bomb big time, since you still need to be on 3.55 to dump the needed drive keys for it, if it is ever released that is.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

The end result is simply dependent on whether you want to play Xbox 360 games or PS3 games.
If you own one system already, just mod that one.
If you own neither at the moment, I'd suggest RGH'ing a used Slim.
I own both, and the PS3 is a little more tedious as far as playing the latest games.

Thanks, right now I don't own anyone of them. The reason I asked is that which one is easy to handle and it seems like xbox getting more votes, as one of the local expert also told me that ps3 CFW is a bit rough handling games even the new cfw 4.31, especially with the Silent Hill games, the one series I want to get my hands on, while RGH do it without any problem.
Also RGH Slim is easily available new in my country, while PS3 is hard to find, and to Eisherz, I'm not really having any hopes for this so called Cobra ODE, but site claims that it will work on 3xx and 4xx, but as I said before, I don't have a high hopes.

i have ps3 cfw 4.30 an the amount of homebrew i can run is great, emus, showtime, ice films. and i have the xk3y which IS NOT RGH personally i think ps3 kicks arse when running CFW as the ps3 runs homebrew, is a bluray player and 3d player and also divx, id go ps3 :)

Do it run all the latest games without patching in latest 4.3 FW. I mean even on this thread, people are having problems. Apart from that, I just found a used Fat 80gb 2usb slots ps3 and good things is that it's still on lower firmware, is it safe to buy a Fat ps3 as I've heard they are not reliable.

The 80 GB is quite reliable I'd say, it is the least likely model of the phats to get the YLOD. None of the PS3s are fully reliable, they can all get the YLOD (maybe exept for the superslim, but that can't be modded). The only advantage I see for a PS3 CFW over an Xbox 360 RGH is that the PS3 CFW can be done easier yourself if the console is still on a lower firmware. If the console has to be downgraded I'd prefer an RGH.
Also yes, the Cobra ODE will work on later firmwares when you have the drive key and so on, but you need homebrew to get that drive key, and for that you need to be on custom firmware.

4.2x - 4.31 is the same key set... games that require 4.31 just have header pointing to 4.31 FW.... what multiman does it just patch that header(patches EBOOT.BIN/*.ELF/*.SELF/*.PRX/*.SPRX)... its that simple and you can run 4.31 games on 4.21cfw... this also gets you to think about why people actually install 4.3x CFW in the first place if 4.21 works as it should.. btw you can dump flash using many ways from ps3 you get EID5(BD-rom key) its located on NOR(slim) at 0x00303D0 - 0x0030DCF on the flash... its encryped... BUT there's 2 ways you can decrypt it... 1 using older fw such as 3.55... and 2 using exploit that juan covered on ps3hax site exploiting lv0 giving you access to decrypt anything you like on consoles that do not have 3.55 or have 4.xx as base...

Thanks, Well again I need to mention is that Cobra ode claims to work with 3x and 4x models and so far I know these models can't go to 3.55 so that must be something else but I still won't believe it until it comes out.
On the other hand 3k3y came out but it's only for FAT and it needs 3.55 firmware for keys. Also surfing through net I've also found out that E3 are also releasing some glich chip like RGH for Xbox 360 and they are having Problems with boot times (But isn't it the same problem with Xbox 360)
Ok to be honest, Ps3 games are lot more attractive to me than Xbox 360. Now the hardware mods for PS3 are starting to appear, I think I should wait a month and see what the future leads to and I don't care for home brew and emulators. I want the console to play it's own games, not Snes or genesis. I have Xperia Play mobile for emulators.

As a mod on a hacking site and someone that does downgrade and rgh systems. I have worked on all systems from the first playstation to the first Xbox to the ps3, wii, xbox 360 and psp. It all depends on what you want to do.
The Xbox 360 has to be glitched since using a hardware to do this. So it all depends on the motherboard that you have. I have heard of people getting boot times from 10 secs to 2 mins. There isn't really alot of wires to mess with when it comes to modding the Xbox. Now the bad part, I hate to say it the Xbox 360 isn't the machine that the ps3 is. The games are not at the level that the ps3 is. I have a corona Xbox with a cr3 lite installed and glitch times from 15 to 30 secs. Ok so what does it have. The kinect and better gaming than the wii but not to the level as the ps3. You get is a dual boot and play online with it. But have to pay for xbox live.
Ok now the ps3 there are up sides and down sides as well. It does all that Xbox does. Ok so there are models that can and can't be hacked. The Cech 2501a and below can be downgraded. The 2501a is a toss up on if it can be downgraded or not. It all depends on what firmware was it shipped with from the factory. So it would be best to get the Cech 2001a to make sure it can be downgraded. Next for the downgrade get an e3 flasher so you can as well use dual boot with this ps3. With Cfw on it no waiting times for glitching. Can play online with Cfw but will get banned. If dual boot with e3 psn is free. Can run backups, can run emulators with it. With the new Cfw 4.30 out don't have to worry about patching games any more. And can still update games with multiman. Downside have to find the right ps3 and have to downgrade it. Upside better graphics when it comes to gaming and a overall better system.
The ode that are coming out I have the cobra coming to test it on my systems which are launch 60, nand 40, 120 gig slim, chech 3000 model slim and a new super slim.
Now as far as my house my Xbox gets used for my two kids that like the kinect. However when they want to play a game with a controller they both will go to their rooms and play their ps3s with rogero 4.30 v2.05. My daughter is 9 and my son is 11 and they both like the gaming on the ps3 more than the Xbox. They also play the wii with a wiikey 2 installed. I play the ps3 cause of the gaming and the graphics. You can google my name racer0018 and see what I have done.
Each person is different. Also google racer0018 mods on YouTube to see ps3 that dual boots. Can't put one up cause my Xbox is a corona. 4 gb and can't dual boot. I have downgraded/ repaired and unbricked over 1700 ps3s. Rgh over 350 Xbox 360s. Reballed both systems. Modded over 200 wiis back In the day of the wiikey. So yes I do know what I am talking about. Well late but very good information. I've Bought a ps3 just today, waiting for a shipment. It's a used and fat checl06 model, and I got it almost 3 times lesser the price of original. Its firmware is upgraded, but I can think it can be downgraded.
Well there is a YLOD risk but I took it since I got ps3 very cheap. The reason why I want Ps3 is that it has best exclusives while Xbox is better for someone who like FPS shooters which is not my thing
