can any one help me i have xbox backup creator and a sh-d162c drive i use to read orignel 360 xbox game to get a iso file but now the start button is gray out and i cannot start reading the game can anyone tell me if i need a new drive or new softwere

You can use Kreon drive for anything non AP2.5 or XGD3. And the latest version of XBC is 2.9 Build 0350. Both, Kreon 1.0 firmware and XBC 2.9 can be found using Google. there is your problem.

either a LiteOn or BenQ XBox drive flashed with 0800 v3 firmware for ripping or if you can find one a DROM6316/97 Premodified Internal 0800 v3 Black Sata DVDROM WH522 and, one of the drives listed below flashed with BurnerMax for burning.
