Hi all, Just a quicky, not been on here for a while, i have recently received 2 emails from the Microsoft account team saying Thanks for helping us verify your Microsoft account!

Here is your code: ******

If you didn't request this code, we recommend that you go to https://account.live.com and change your password.
Both codes where different and i dont remember requesting any code but think it sounds abit dodgy, someone trying to get my details or something, anyone else had this or am i just paranoid!!

As it says, if you didn't request the code, change your password. It takes two seconds and then there's no longer anything to be concerned about. Make sure you're going to Microsoft's website when you change your password and there's no need to worry.

Yeh that's what I think I am going to do. Just thought it seemed really strange that they sent 2 emails with different codes..

If someone got your passwords and requested the codes, I think MS might send two different ones. For example, I've requested codes for different things and not used the code, then later on, I want the code and I have to request another cause the first one is no good anymore, in which case, I get a second code sent to me and it will be different.

I had somethin similar happen. I was playing MW3 and signed out to eat. Got back on and got a message saying I needed to sign in using a valid ID. In a nut shell we suspended the account, froze all MS points, and within 72 hrs I had recovered my acount.
I don't like MS a bit, but this time, they really made me thankful!

Hi. Yeh don't know if I should follow through with investigation as they may dig deeper and realise I have a flashed drive. :(
