I have 2 xenon motherboards and my on line console just died. I was wondering If I switched the nand chip onto the other motherboard and used the matching dvd drive if that would get me back on line? the other motherboard is on a earlier nxe dash but has no drive and I dont want to bother with glitching it for the key plus Im worried about being banned from iffy firmware as i dont know how to get all the drive info into the stock firmware. I can get the key in it but I'd probably just get banned which I really want to avoid. I have professional tools to switch the chip and even know how to do it but Im un sure if it will burn my efuses properly. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. The other reason I wanted to do this is because the other motherboard has been reballed and only powered on once. my original plan was to glitch it then sell but now I need an on line console in the worst way.
edit: my biggest wonder is where the cpu key is stored in the console. Im assuming that the nand is what has all the info in it but Im not sure.

ok, i will attempt to answer this to the best of my ability, please correct me if im wrong. you would have to swap out both the CPU and the nand. then you would need to generate a valid keyvault for them, and to do this you would need the certification from the current nand. i believe that the CPU key is stored in the CPU itself, and you cant RGH a xenon mobo. hope this helps.

Actually I was hoping to just switch the nand chip. What I have for an issue on my on line console is I knocked 3 mini components off my motherboard on the top side of the motherboard next to my gpu during a reball. The points are C5E1, R5E1, AND R5E2. I'm not sure what they are. Im pretty sure C5E1 is a filter cap but I don't know about the others. there pretty tiny components. I want to do anything I can to avoid being banned so I have to find out what these components do and If I can somehow replace them with ether new parts or from another board. I'd just hook it up and see if it works but Im worried that thes parts might be of great importance and cause damage elsewhere.
never heard of such a stupid thing on a horrible motherboard. How do you think you're going to pull the chip? avoid being banned? seriously? buy a new xbox. This cannot be done, and if you do it, I'll paypal you a million dollars LOL

I was asking a question and did not know the cpu key was stored in the cpu till the other gentlemen told me that. I figured all the info was in the nand chip forgive me for pissing you off not being a pro. I have all the tools I need to remove or reball or resolder anything on the motherboard and I don't mean a heat gun ether. I have a bga reball station and a reflow station and everything to so smc chips to and much more.
I only said I was hoping to do less work or find out what the components at the 3 points on the board were so i could possibly find a replacement and not have to go through changing all that stuff to the other motherboaed. I figured before that people sell gpu's on ebay and thats why I was thinking the gpu didnt need to match. C5E1 is a sound filter capacitor(sorry for the abbreviation) between the gpu and cpu there are 2 other points below it R5E1, AND R5E2 that have a similar part but I don't know if there a resister or a capacitor. I know C5E1 is not needed.
Im not wanting to mod or anything as that would risk a ban but I put this question here because its less likely to be answered in the anything else forum. and to answer your question about buying a new 360 I did a slim and the dvd drive keeps dieing. Im waiting again for it to come back from Microsoft for the 3rd time. Not everyone here is rich enough to buy 3 or 4 boxes a year. Id buy a new one if I could get the fat style still as mine lasted from release day till this January. You seem to talk like I'm doing something wrong. I just want to be on live with a stock box that doesn't have shady firmware or a reason to be banned. Ive only had xbox live and a 1yr premium subscription to call of duty elite for 1 day before my new 360's dvd drive junked out.
Im not trying to be shady or cheat on line. I'm not even looking to play backups on line. If you google anything I mentioned you'll see that I'm not making parts up. I just cant find info on the other 2 mentioned after C5E1. That's why I wanted to know If I could just switch my nand chip without having to switch my cpu to. I am smart enough to know Im not going to be writing a nand to a chip without jtaging it as I built 8 jtags so far and haven't found much challenge in it except the first one. I was actually told I wouldn't be able to do it which compelled me to learn all I could and prove everyone wrong. Along the way bought thousands in tools so I don't have to buy new boxes. I know how to use my tools to so why let them go to waste.
I'll agree that the xenon board was horrible in its stock form but I do know how to make them a lot more reliable. 6yrs isn't bad for a horrible motherboard that still has the xclamps intact. Way better than sending my slim in once a month for repairs. Oh thank you for well I guess I'll be the bigger person here as your probably right bout me being an idiot anyways. Id like to say thanks to all that have helped me here in the past and here on this thread. This site and the people here have helped me a lot with my search for knowledge.

Modking30, knowledgeable though he may be, likes to troll, so don't get offended if he does. i have no doubt what you are trying to do is possible, i just lack the knowledge or skill to help you further.
