I have Dash 13604 on my xbox with a lite on flashed with LT 2.0. My question is.... Can I play XGD3 games straight off the bat(truncate and burn) or do I have to patch the ap 2.5 sector using abgx? If I do, doesn't it add the new ap 2.5 replay sector for the latest dashboard? Or can I just play my backups straight off the bat(Truncate and burn)?

I don't have a 360 with a dash that old, or I would test it for you. Is there a reason that you haven't upgraded your dashboard and firmware? If you have a hitachi 78/79, I could understand, as they're still working on LT3 for those 2 models. The truncate & burn no longer work on the newer dashboards from what I have gathered. You really need to get a Lite-on iHAS 124 burner. If you're in the US, they're around $25 shipped from newegg.com, depending on where you live in the US.
I have dash 13599 with a sammy drive on the latest firmware and have no issues booting xgd3 on a xenon. I do know that sammy drives do less checks than other drives. A note on booting xgd3: you have to have the original type dvd drive in your console. If you don't when a game with that gets booted you will get an e66 error even if you have the latest firmware. edit: I am using the new abgx to patch the games. Not sure If I need to but I didn't want to risk wasting disks.
The dash will be fine but with a lite on you'll have to update to Lt 3.0. It wont boot xdg3 originals without LT 3.0 unless you put the firmware back to stock.

By original, you mean retail discs or a 100% burn? Will it be able to boot 100% burnt backups?
Original meaning retail. it wont boot xdg3 games burnt or original because of the larger disk size and the checks the drive does. it will still boot older games but you'll get an e66 error with the newer games. Lt 3.0 fixes the issue.
